get to know me
I’m a Photographer, Rainbow mama + Wife
Hey Mama! I’m Brittney, a Motherhood Photographer creating that real life, real love, big belly laughs and endless rounds of airplane kind of experience that captures who your family is right now and makes you teary eyed when you look back at photos. I’m a Wife to my High School Sweetheart, a Homeschool Mama raising two little Rainbows, an outside enthusiast, a dairy free kitchen experimenter and devourer of books. If I’m not capturing your milestones during an inhome newborn session or this year’s family photos I’m probably out exploring Northeast Ohio with my boys or creating something delicious!

ABOUT ME
I’M PASSIONATE ABOUT authentic storytelling
Capturing the love you have for your family and all the little things that make each member unique is my favorite part of being a lifestyle family photographer and in home newborn photographer. I love getting to capture every moment from brand new baby with the tiniest toes to littles that grow and change all too quickly.
Fun facts about your photographer

I am a huge birth and baby nerd! and actually a trained childbirth educator, birth doula and lactation counselor that was on the IBCLC track doing my lactation hours when the world shut down/my youngest was born. Although I am not practicing, I love to help support Mamas in every stage of Motherhood, whether they’re waiting on littles, in the early years of losing sleep or just trying to keep up with them as they grow and change.

We are big into adventures and exploring in our house! We try to explore a new trail each week! I have hiked many a miles with a toddler (and sometimes a preschooler) on my back! Whether it’s to enjoy the leaves, find an awesome hill to sled or just play in the creek working on my (horrible) rock skipping skills. Our love for adventure has helped me find all the best places to chase a tiny human down a trail and where to explore based on your vision for art in your home! This is our third year taking part in 1000 Hours Outside challenge as a family. As much as we love a day on the trails, the following day is usually spent cuddled up with books and movies– what can I say? We appreciate balance.

As a former Preschool Teacher and Homeschooling Mama of neurodivergent wildlings and general awkward weirdo myself, I know all the tricks to help your kiddos get comfy and join in on the fun! Don’t worry about camera smiles or meltdowns, or even having them look at the camera. I’ve got games, prompts, jokes and random dancing up my sleeve to make sure we’ve got real smiles and big belly laughs so you can look at these images years down the road and hear that little giggle you love. Basically I’m not afraid to get real silly for real smiles, and I don’t even mind if you laugh at me too. 😉

Hubs and I are high school sweet hearts that have lived in 4 states, called 8 different places home and are so excited to finally be settling down and chasing that homestead dream! We can’t wait to have chickens again, a thriving gardena nd learn all those lost skills like canning, bread making and composting (and maybe live out that Katniss Everdeen dream with a home archery range).

We are a household full of food allergies so I spend A LOT of time reading ingredients and making things from scratch– it’s a good thing I love to experiment in the kitchen and often do so with two little Sous Chefs by my side! I can probably whip up anything dairy free you’d like, and if it’s a baked good I’ve got like four recipes I can nail no problem- the rest are questionable and at risk for both being burnt and undercooked…it’s a gift really.

I have helped organize and volunteered as the photographer for the Emersyn’s Army March 5K since we moved to Northeast Ohio. The race is a fundraiser in honor of Emersyn Jacob Mueller born sleeping November 11, 2017. All funds from the race go to Sufficient Grace Ministries, a nonprofit that helps grieving families through pregnancy and infant loss with keepsakes, counseling and support. We are always looking for more runners, sponsors and volunteers to help make this event as impactful as possible. You can sign up to race here or ask about Sponsoring, Donating to Our Raffle or Volunteering during the race by emailing EmersynsArmyMarch@gmail.com.
